About

Welcome to Pamplemousse! Here I will be sharing wholesome nutritionally dense recipes, fitness tips, workouts, parenting insights and anything else that I feel may inspire somebody, make someone smile or ย allow me to vent.

I am a nationally certified fitness instructor, a lifelong vegetarian, and a mother of three. Pamplemousse will allow me to share with you what I believe works to lead a wholesome, happy, energetic life as a parent.

When it comes to food, I ย believe in eating whole organic foods, as close to their natural state as possible. When I cook at home, I am mostly vegan, completely refined sugar free, mainly gluten free, and definitely nutritionally dense and healthy. I eat a high raw diet during the warmer months, and slowly transition to more cooked foods during the winter, while still choosing to eat at least 60-70% raw. Most importantly though, I do not believe in restrictive dieting. The only thing I am 100% about is being a vegetarian, after that, there is a time and a place for everything in my life. Being in touch with my body and my emotions allows me to make the right choices in order to live a happy energetic life. And sometimes, the right choice is having a big fresh green juice, at others, it is having another piece of that delicious home made birthday cake.

All of the recipes you will find here are original Pamplemousse unless stated otherwise. I get a lot of inspiration from all over the place: friends, Facebook, other blogs, street signs, supermarkets, etc…. And I use my skill and knowledge to create something new to me, based on my inspirations.

Also, I am no photographer and do not even own a decent camera. But I do like to share images with my recipes, so forgive me for the quality. I would rather share a picture that is not great than nothing at all. Most of the time, my food tastes better than it looks ๐Ÿ˜‰

When it comes to fitness, I believe you just got to keep moving. There is no trick, no special regime, just move your body. Find what you love doing and do that until you find something else that you love doing. In the meantime, I do know a lot about the human body and what is most efficient to get specific goals.

When it comes to parenting, I make sure I wake up everyday and do my best. As long as I parent from the heart, my kids will grow up to be just fine. And as long as I feed them wholesome, nutritious, real foods, they will be strong and healthy.
